I will continually be adding more links and articles… The future is thought, imagination, creativity, invention, art, science…

Obviously there are so many articles I have read, so will be adding older ones, I have read and new ones of interest when I read them…

A brilliant talk by Jim Fallon neurobiologist. He also talks about cultures of violence and the exposure of the young to violent cultures and how this generates through generations and epigenetics which has far reaching implications for different people, different cultures and the world. Also though Jim Fallon does not mention it levels of intelligence come into to this. 50% of humanity are below average intelligence, and even average intelligence or just above is not something to be that impressed about and also has disturbing connotations for humanity and the future.

Jim Fallon has taught neuroscience and psychiatry grand rounds at the University of California Irvine for thirty-five years. Through research he explores the way genetic and perinatal environmental factors affect the way the brain gets built — and then how an individual’s experience further shapes his or her development. He lectures and writes on creativity, consciousness and culture, and has made key contributions to our understanding of adult stems and stroke, schizophrenia, Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease.

Only lately has Fallon turned his research toward the subject of psychopaths — particularly those who kill. With PET scans and EEGs, he’s beginning to uncover the deep, underlying traits that make people violent and murderous.

Also this by Jim Fallon written text and another video talk.

This article is about a computer that run a programme to see where civilisation was going. It was run in 1973 at MIT, and the results surprised the scientists as it predicted the end of civilisation by 2050, all civilisations. Which means anyone of any intelligence wants to make sure it does not happen, or not everywhere. Or one would hope, a lot of people do not seem to take it seriously, though the weather is already get more extreme, fires, floods, both polar caps melting, the seas more and more poisoned, air pollution etc… Human Caused Climate Changed, a lot of people just say the Earth goes through these cycles, Yes, but the difference now is humans are causing it and it is happening at an accelerated rate, years and decades, instead of 100 or 1,000, or 100,0000 years. But looking at a lot of others peoples reactions, it seems to be between the ‘end of times’, religious, and not giving a fuck because they will most likely be dead by then.

“Do not go gentle into that good night,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.“
edited Dylan Thomas.

Purpose and meaning to life, make the world a better not a worse place, and I do mean the whole planet, biodiversity etc. Then what is civilisation. For me Civilisation is what came out of Enlightenment thinking / The Age of Reason, art, music, literature, science, the pursuit of knowledge and truth, critical thought, philosophy, ethics, justice. That Civilisation is worth saving, and it is possible, just difficult.

https://bigthink.com/surprising-science/in-1973-an-mit-computer-predicted-the-end-of-civilization-so-far-its-on-target/

The idea that I do not know about The Enlightenment or as it is also know, among names, The Age of Reason is just more people trying to discredit me, and anything I say. I have been talking on and off about The Enlightenment for years. I was educated in England by state education that comes out of Enlightenment thinking. I have also been reading history, not just at school but in my own time, since I was 5 years old. In fact education for all came out of Enlightenment thinking. As did separating the state from religion. Science rather than belief, the study of the natural world using the tools of scientific thinking, analysis, contextual study, critical thought, statistical analysis, provable science, empirical scientific experiment, repeatable science. Thought rather than superstition. Law and justice and the search for truth, and knowledge. Democracy, and the end of divine rule. Not that there were just one set of ideas, ideals or thoughts in the Enlightenment. The Enlightenment was also about religious tolerance, and to able to believe in some religion or not. Developing out of these ideas, came women being equal with men, though different, as each person is different from another. To Enlighten ignorance with knowledge, rather than just blindly following custom or belief. The application of reason, to ethical discourse, and the structuring of society and culture. The Enlightenment came out of Europe, and spread from there, and is the foundations of modern European culture and the foundation of the culture of the USA. Participants of the Enlightenment were some of the founding fathers of the American Declaration of Independence, and the American Constitution and what it is based on. Not religion, faith or belief. Another thing apart from the many other things I have been reading since I was 12 or 14 years old, again in my own time, is philosophy and ethics, including some of the leading lights of The Enlightenment, Descartes, Spinoza, as well as those philosophers that followed up to the present day, that followed, as well as well some of the ideas which came from of ancient Greek philosophy maths, science, history etc. In fact I was surprised when I read this, that many Americans think their culture is based from religion. “Why American’s Christian foundation is a myth.

https://bigthink.com/culture-religion/why-americas-christian-foundation-is- a-myth

And to read some or basics about The Enlightenment, then this article.

Extremely good article about overpopulation of people on the planet, and how it is already overpopulated.

https://overpopulation-project.com/ten-things-that-you-may-not-know- about-population

This link below many will not like, but then how many people want to abandon all ideas, philosophy, thought, technology, art and science, give up the advancement of humanity the progress made, and go back to the Stone Age, or all become farmers and it still would not work even if people did. Though more than enough people seem quite happy to destroy all other life and the biodiversity of the planet, which is deeply worry and stupid for many reasons including without the bio-system / life support which sustains all life humanity will die too.

Great TED talk by the journalist Carole Cadwalladr and article she wrote afterwards, well worth watching and reading. https://www.ted.com/talks/carole_cadwalladr_facebook_s_role_in_brexit_a nd_the_threat_to_democracy

And the article she wrote about being around the tech owners from silicone valley.

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019/apr/21/carole-cadwalladr-ted-tech-google-facebook-zuckerberg-silicon-valley

I read this article quite a while ago, probably soon after it was written is is interesting and relevant. Especially with some of my ex’s, it is written by a woman. Quotes from the article… A woman asking other women if they have ever done these things. “Raise your hand if you’ve thought you were at liberty to do this coercing because men “always want it” and should feel lucky any time they get it.”… “Raise your hand if you’ve ever threatened to harm yourself if a man breaks up with you or doesn’t want to see you anymore.” Well the second quote has happened with a few, especially Arielle De Lacy / Ava De Lacy, threatening to kill herself. Then Arielle / Ava is a clinically diagnosed pathological liar, narcissist sociopath / psychopath, so imagine what vindictive lengths and lies she would go too, and she is not alone among the women I have known. Then add that I am ‘white’ and male and Arielle / Ava is female and ‘mixed race’, and lots of other things can get throw at me as well. Then ‘Raise your hands if a woman has hit on a man and when he was not interested if the woman has then turned around and lied about him, and tried to ruin his life’ which seems to happen to me as well. Well quite a few things it mentions, and more, read the article… ‘MeToo Will Not Survive Unless We Recognize Toxic Femininity’ by Meghan Daum.

There are more more links I need to add, but thought I would add this one now. In theory the very rich should be the ones buying my art. After all I am a world class artist, as well as a world class photographer. I should point out my art is extremely subtle and extremely intelligent, as it was intended, it was only after I was being continually harassed, threatened that I started talking about the things obviously in 2015, as so many people were spreading lies about me, though it has been going on far longer. Tate link. But my art has been and is, about many things they do not like, the destruction of the planet, ecology, ethics, education, thought, critical thought, ethics in science, philosophy, deductive reasoning etc etc. Art in other words, why so many have said over time I am a philosophic artist, and make art philosophy, my own ideas for art and made by me. One of the reasons so many people want to lie about me and discredit me.

https://www.helpsavedemocracy.com. A site worth looking at. I think you might find this video talk narrated by Stephen Fry interesting. All of these facts were known years ago. Also why there is so much disinformation (fake news) that has millions or even billions spent on it. I think it will also ring bells in the USA and across the world. https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=_HDFegpX5gI

David Attenborough is 92 years old and one the greatest eco warriors on planet Earth, and loved around the world. Our Planet is awesome. He has also recently made a one off documentary with the BBC to very directly contrast and explain how human caused climate change is killing off the ecosystem that all life on Earth needs to survive.

https://www.ourplanet.com

And this in contrast Fossil fuel companies spending millions every year to down play or deny human caused climate change. That has been going on since the 1960’s.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/niallmccarthy/2019/03/25/oil-and-gas-giants-spend-millions-lobbying-to-block-climate-change-policies-infographic/

I have known about these technologies and its potential for years, by years I mean around 30 years or so maybe more. My art includes some of the ideas though only if you can understand my art. ‘Smiths Empire’ conceived 1991, produced 1992-1993 for one. In fact if my art which is world-class would not have been blocked and discredited, I would also have been doing research and development and setting up projects like these in the 1990’s. Using the money from my art to build a better world. This project in the Orkney Islands Scotland is amazing running the islands on hydrogen power, they produce their own hydrogen from water H2O, using renewable energy. These are the kind of projects oil and gas companies hate and have been blocking and trying to discredit for years. If the research and development of of alternative forms of power production would not have been blocked and discredited as too expensive or impossible to run. They would be far cheaper now. The fossil fuel companies have been spending vast amounts of money lobbying against them, producing false scientific reports, psuedo-science etc… since at least the 1960’s. Hydrogen is one of the best ways to store solar and other renewable energies.

https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20190327-the-tiny-islands-leading-the-way-in-hydrogen-power

Combine a desalination solar powered plant like this that has never been built and a water to hydrogen production plant and you can make fuel and energy from salt water, the sea. No expensive oil rigs, drilling, fracking etc etc… And before people say yes on a small scale, as I have already said if the research and development would not have been continuously blocked by fossil fuel and their lobbying etc it would be far more advanced and cheaper. And much more pleasing to the eye, as well as the environment.

I was not in Britain (UK) at the time of the Referendum and could not vote as I was not registered for a postal vote. I was shocked by all the lies of the leave campaign and knew they were lies then. Then more shocked by leave even getting a slight majority. Even most expats abroad voted leave around where I was at the time, though they lived in Europe, which goes to show the mentality, low intelligence level and nasty psychology of most of them. There is nothing reasonable, rational or intelligent about wanting to leave the EU. There is no reason to for Britain. Here are 98 factual reasons to stay. There is another reason to stay that is not mentioned as such, there are factions within the EU and without the EU that want to see Britain and the EU destroyed. Even governments that would be more than happy to see Britain and the EU destroyed for political, educational, economic, technological, environmental etc reasons.

I have just watched the first episode of ‘Our Planet’ narrated by David Attenborough… Awesome… ‘Our Planet’ is a stunningly beautiful and tragic documentary series. “In one human lifetime,” says Attenborough in the opening minutes, “wildlife populations have fallen by an average of 60%. The stability of nature can no longer be taken for granted.” Now this is probably the most important issue anywhere on the entire planet. It ties in with the world cooperating, stabilising the population, education, educating women, gender equality / equity, human rights, ecology, biodiversity, compassion, thought, and helping countries that are still developing to do so sustainably and to stop poverty worldwide. Human Caused Climate Change. We all need to work together, to save the planet. To save the future.

BBC articles about parents protesting against their children being educated and taught about LBGT parents, and what they are. This is just highlighting the bigotry of religion, or some peoples interpretation of it. This protest by these parents actually shows the world why this and other subjects need to be taught in school and to children at the earliest possible age, to counteract the bigotry of their parents. Most British people want an open and tolerant society. Saying traditional community, and family values is actually showing how bigoted, some peoples ‘family values’ and tradition is. What family values would they be ? It also indicates why these children need to be taught this and other subjects in school as obviously some parents will instil different forms of bigotry in their children, their own bigoted values, without any more open counter measure and ethical education. This education is trying to educate children against the ideas of racism, gender inequality, sexual orientation intolerance, religious intolerance. Including by some non-religious people and their intolerance. These parents I assume are ‘moderates’, what are fundamentalists and extremists like ? This is not about one religion but all religions, and intolerant interpretations by some practitioners of those religions, and some non- religious intolerance.. These ‘traditions’ and ‘family values’, do they include, female genital mutilation which include the removal of the clitoris and the sewing up of part of the vagina opening, practised by muslim and christian communities in some parts of the world. Forced arranged marriages. Child marriages which Christians, Muslims, Hindu, Sikh all practice in different parts of the world. The repression of woman and inequality, also practiced by Christians, Muslims, Hindu, Sikh etc in different parts of the world. Are these attitudes or ideas, any different or better or less bigoted than the revolting white suprematists ? The list of some peoples ‘traditions and ‘family values’ are far longer than this which are illegal in Britain, against the law, and under UN United Nations, United Nations Human Rights laws and against UNESCO United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation directives

As discrimination against LGBT is under British law, EU law and UN United Nations Human Rights. The young need to be taught these subjects and more so they grow up with an ethical open outlook, not with the bigotry of their parents of whatever colour, racial mix or religion. I would almost call this medieval thinking, but dark ages thinking would probably be nearer, and barbaric. “Irina Bokova, born on 12 July 1952 in Sofia (Bulgaria) has been the Director-General of UNESCO since 15 November 2009, and reelected for a second term in 2013. She is the first woman to lead the Organisation.” Lack of education and thought, is not just about poverty in a monetary sense but poverty of mind, spirit, tolerance and intellect. Why all people need education

It is the same form of bigotry that denies human caused climate change, what ignorance, arrogance and hubris. The BBC article that illustrates ignorance, bigotry, arrogance and hubris.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-birmingham-47742085

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-birmingham-47631301/lgbt- classes-protester-i-am-not-homophobic

I do not find this surprising sadly, and have read other references articles and books that have said similar things, 19 toxic people to every healthy good person, this spans background, class, gender, race, age, sexual orientation or intelligence. Children already toxic by the time they are 4 years old… and most people never even bothering to overcome their shortcomings or toxicity… I have said many times I do not think like most people, nor engage in the world or existence like most people and it is not just because I am supposedly extremely intelligent… As none of this article applies to me, I have never relished other peoples suffering, tried to inflict it on others, and when it comes to gender, race, age or intelligence what I am concerned with and want is people with good hearts and healthy psychologies… And try to help and encourage people to be healthy and not toxic… Though most people see this as a direct criticism of who they are… and ‘double down’ on their ignorance and toxicity and the articles talks about this too… which means they lie about me, are abusive about me, attack me and who I am… There is a link to the original article in this article, it was published by ‘The British Psychology Society’…

https://www.fastcompany.com/90278683/the-10-toxic-psychological-traits- that-make-so-many-people-suck

This I find fascinating… On genes that correlate to higher intelligence… According to the team, the genes that make for smartness also look to confer a protective effect to overall cognitive health, with the analysis finding a negative correlation with Alzheimer’s disease, attention deficit/hyperactivity
disorder, depressive symptoms, and schizophrenia.”

“I have a foreboding of an America in my children’s or grandchildren’s time — when the United States is a service and information economy; when nearly all the manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries; when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what’s true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness…” Carl Sagan

I just read this and my immediate response… ‘And if we slide into superstition and darkness we fail and fall… Even those few who grasp power… Fail and fall into a self lobotomising future with the likelihood of returning from the dark infinitesimally small…’ On human population, climate change, limited resources and breeding to extinction. For it is not whether we can feed and ever growing population, but the resources they use and the waste they produce… This article has 4 future scenarios 3 of which the human race fails… One of the things about living on an island in space, this spaceship Earth… and why I put the Carl Sagan quote to go with this article… which does not just apply to the USA but is becoming a worldwide epidemic… And if we do not save ourselves there is no external agency that will…

“For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.” Carl Sagan

Making quantum entangled particles…

This is a great project that will happen soon in the future. the complete mapping of the human brain / well several different brains using an Exascale computer under construction in the USA. Aurora 21. Which will be the first Exascale computer in the US. There are a number of other projects that will follow using the computer.

https://bigthink.com/mind-brain/supercomputer-aurora-21-will-map-the-human-brain-starting-in-2021/

I thought I had already put this up, I use it in my article and will in the ones I have broken down the original one into parts… Then this a possible future, where people work or do not can study and be more involved in high level thought, abstract thought, critical thought, creativity anything they want. The main problem would be whether it was controlled by a few people and corporations or a much more free, open and interactive society. A rethinking of society, our goals for the future of the human race and existence. Just one example of many possible futures. But it is pointless believing things will not change dramatically and are. We need to and some are thinking about this now as needs to be done. This is different to the industrial revolution without doubt. I have heard it said that between 85% to 95% of ‘jobs’ will go. This is a great opportunity to build a better world. For everyone, everything on the planet and the planet Earth itself and the future.

Emotional AI anyone… AI with emotional responses…

https://futurism.com/videos/soul-machines-lifelike-emotional-ai/

Then this is an awesome project… Though in writing about it to justify it, it seems to take a more financial thread… though I think this is to explain to most people why it should be done… and future benefits… Not that I have a problem with future benefits… or making money as such…But at the rate humans are wiping out others species, that is justification enough… how anthropocentric, narcissistic, destructive the homo sapiens as a race can be… and this wonderful project ‘Earth BioGenome’. The Project to Record the DNA of All Life on Earth; all plants, animals, and single-celled organisms—all living things except bacteria and archaea (those will be taken care of by the Earth Microbiome Project

https://www.earthbiogenome.org/

This is worrying… ‘Humans just 0.01% of all life but have destroyed 83% of wild mammals. About half the Earth’s animals are thought to have been lost in the last 50 years.’… ‘farmed poultry today makes up 70% of all birds on the planet, with just 30% being wild.’… Interestingly as they quote in the article, the lead scientist was shocked that a complete and comprehensive study/research of the bio-mass on our planet, Earth had nor been done study/research of the bio-mass on our planet, Earth had nor been done before…

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2018/may/21/human-race-just-001-of-all-life-but-has-destroyed-over-80-of-wild-mammals-study

An interesting idea to do with space time matter, quantum mechanics & quantum entanglement… and how the future could effect the past and the present.

This is quite fascinating liberals have a “liberals tend to have a larger anterior cingulate gyrus” Which processes new information, while “Conservatives tended on the whole to have a larger right amygdala” which is the flight or flight centre, basically fear response they also have a smaller anterior cingulate gyrus so do not process new information so well… So conservatives are more likely to make decisions through fear…

http://bigthink.com/videos/gail-saltz-the-brain-differences-of-liberals-versus- conservatives

Seems obvious but a lot of people do not seem to get it, empowering women so they are every bit as equal as men in all cultures will effect more than just climate change. But I think the Singularity know that as well…
